Family violence: help and safety
If you are in danger now, call 000. Handemova is a calendar, not a crisis or monitoring service, and nobody watches what happens in it.

Using Handemova safely
- Court orders come first. If there is a family violence order or a parenting order, follow it. Nothing in this app changes an order.
- Your co-parent sees everything that's shared: the calendar, handover places, events, the bring-list and the change history. Don't put a new address, workplace or school details in shared fields if that isn't safe.
- Private time stays private. "Busy" blocks show only "Busy" and the time to the other home. Their title and place are never shared, including with AI assistants.
- AI assistants never see places unless you allow it, and children's names are replaced with "[Child 1]" before anything goes to an assistant or to our date reader.
- Switch things off any time: the kids' view link, the phone calendar link, alerts and assistant connections can each be turned off under More.
- Devices: More → Your devices shows where you're signed in and can sign you out everywhere. If someone may have had access to your phone, talk to 1800RESPECT before changing settings, because changes can be noticed.
- Technology-facilitated abuse: the eSafety Commissioner has guides (esafety.gov.au).
Handover planning that keeps parents apart (a school, a public place, a third person) is often recommended by family violence services. Ask one of the services above what fits your situation.
