AI notice
Handemova uses AI in two places, and only to suggest. A parent always decides.
1. Reading school notices
- When you paste, upload or forward a school notice, rules and (if switched on) Cloudflare Workers AI look for dates, events and things to bring.
- Children's names saved in the app are swapped for “[Child 1]” etc. before text is sent to AI. Nicknames, misspellings, classmates' and teachers' names may not be caught.
- Each suggestion shows the sentence it came from. AI-parsed school events can be wrong: wrong date, wrong year group, a cancelled event, a missed change. Check against the original notice before you accept.
- Cloudflare Workers AI does not use your content to train models. Processing may happen outside Australia (see the privacy policy).
2. Your own AI assistant (MCP and API)
- If you connect ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant, it can read your family's schedule, handovers, events and bring-list, and (only if you allow) ask for a swap, which your co-parent must approve.
- What the assistant says is produced by that provider, not by us. It can be wrong or make things up. Check it against the app.
- You can switch any connection off at any time.
What AI is not used for
No automated decision is made about you: AI doesn't approve swaps, change the schedule, decide who has the children, score parents, or read your private time. The tone check and the holiday-rules tool use fixed rules, not AI. Nothing here is professional advice; see the disclaimer.
