Help & FAQ
Quick answers. If you can't find what you need, contact [support email, pending].
Is it really free?
Yes. The free plan covers both parents with no time limit: your schedule, Tonight, swaps, the phone calendar feed, the history and full export. Optional Family Plus is a one-off payment per family (draft price A$29). Payments are not switched on yet.
Do we both need to sign up?
One parent creates the family calendar and sends the other a private invite link. The invite works once and expires after 7 days. Each parent signs in with their own passkey; neither can sign in as the other.
What is a passkey?
A passkey uses your phone or computer's face, fingerprint or screen lock instead of a password. There's nothing to remember, share or reset. When you sign up you also get a one-time recovery code: keep it somewhere safe.
I lost my phone. How do I get back in?
Use your recovery code on the sign-in page (Sign in → Use a recovery code), then add a passkey on your new device in More → Your account. If you've lost both, contact support from the email you signed up with [support process pending].
Which schedule patterns are supported?
Week on / week off; 2-2-3; fixed weekdays with alternate weekends (2-2-5-5 style); alternate weekends plus a midweek night; and 1st, 3rd and 5th weekends. One-off changes and school-holiday rules sit on top.
Can my co-parent change the past?
No. Every change is recorded in a tamper-evident history that both parents can check. Corrections are added as new entries; nothing is quietly rewritten.
Does it track our location?
No. There is no GPS or location tracking. Handover places are just text you type, like "school gate".
Can I see private things my co-parent adds?
If a parent marks time as Busy, the other parent only sees "Busy", never the details.
How do I get it on my phone?
Open the site in Safari (iPhone/iPad) or Chrome (Android) and choose "Add to Home Screen". It then opens like an app. You can also subscribe to the calendar feed in Google, Apple or Outlook calendar (More → Phone calendar feed).
How do I download our records?
More → Download your records. CSV and JSON exports are always free, for every family.
How do I delete my account?
More → Your account → Delete my account. Each parent deletes their own account. When the last parent leaves, the family's calendar data is deleted.
Is this legal advice? Can I use it in court?
It is a scheduling tool, not legal advice, and we don't claim records are "court-admissible". For advice, talk to a family lawyer, a Family Relationship Centre (1800 050 321) or Legal Aid in your state.
I'm worried about my safety.
If you are in danger, call 000. For confidential support, call 1800RESPECT (1800 737 732). You don't have to use a shared app with someone who makes you unsafe.
How do I report a problem or misuse?
In the app, open the menu (your initial, top right) and choose Report a problem or misuse. To report a message, tap Report under it. Reports go only to the Handemova team, never to your co-parent, and we aim to review them within 24 hours. You can also email [support email, pending]. If anyone is unsafe, call 000.
How do I block my co-parent from messaging me?
In Messages, open Turn off or block messages and choose Turn off and block. Messages stop straight away, and your co-parent can’t ask to turn them back on. Only you can lift the block. The shared calendar keeps working for both of you.
