Three fair ways to split them
1. Halves
Each break is split in the middle. One home has the first half, the other the second half, and you swap who goes first every year. Over two years it comes out even.
2. Alternate whole breaks
One home has the whole April break, the other has July, and so on. Good for travel; longer stretches apart.
3. Alternate years for big days
Christmas Eve/Day and Boxing Day often swap each year, separate from the rest of the summer split.
Make it automatic
Handemova has WA term dates built in. Pick "halves" or "alternate" once, and the holiday nights fill in automatically on both parents' calendars.
