Use ChatGPT or Claude with your co-parenting calendar
"Who has the kids on Friday?" "When's the next handover?" "What needs to go back to the other house?" If you already use an AI assistant, it can answer these from your shared calendar, as long as the connection is set up carefully.
What to look for before you connect anything
- Read-only by default. An assistant that can only read can't move a night or delete an event.
- Requests, not changes. If it can do anything, it should only ask, and your co-parent still approves or declines.
- Your co-parent's privacy. Their private time shouldn't reach your assistant.
- Easy to switch off. One tap to revoke, and a list of what was asked.
How it works in Handemova
- Open More → AI assistant and create a connection. It's read-only unless you also allow it to request swaps.
- Claude: add a custom connector using the private link shown. Other MCP clients (desktop apps, coding tools) use the
/mcpaddress with your token as a Bearer header. - ChatGPT: create a custom GPT, add an Action, import the OpenAPI schema from the link shown, and set authentication to API key (Bearer) with your token.
- Ask away. The assistant can see whose night it is, upcoming handovers, the next events and the bring-list. With swap requests on, it can also create a swap request for your co-parent to approve.
Your co-parent's "Busy" time is never shared. Places are hidden unless you switch them on. Every request is listed on the same page, and you can switch a connection off at any time. Your co-parent can see that a connection exists, but not what you asked.
Treat the private link like a password. Anyone with it can read what the connection allows. Only connect assistants you trust. What you ask them is handled under that assistant's own privacy terms.
